Michael does a great job; very attention to detail oriented; excellent quality work and wonderful follow up.  I would highly recommend hiring Starwood Renovation if you need anything done around your home.

Project was scoped spot in and Mike does incredible work. He asks the right questions and comes up with creative solutions for unique problems (great for older or historic homes). He is very professional, trustworthy, and meticulous in managing the project timing, sub contractors, aesthetic details and execution, and thorough cleanup. I would hire him ten times over.

Mike and Randy remodeled two bathrooms for us. One was an update, the other a complete redesign. They are very competent, professional, responsive and flexible. It is with pleasure that we recommend Michael Hodorowski for any large or small residential work. He served as the lead project manager for our 1,000 foot second story addition and existing remodel of an old home. The project went smoothly under his guidance, with his honesty proving to be a cornerstone of his work style.

In a world of short-cutters, Michael was always acutely focused on educating us about our options, making a recommendation, accepting our decision and then building to above standards – multiple times building above the standard discussed because it didn’t feel right to him. Michael’s ethics and workmanship are first rate.

Michael Hodorowski completed several remodel projects at my home over the years of 2007 to 2009 including the basement, full kitchen, full bathroom and mud room. I was very pleased with his quality of work and professionalism. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of each remodel project and helped me to achieve a great new look in my home.

In addition to his quality work, I respect Michael’s work ethic and trust him in my home. He really pulled through for me on several occasions: once a situation arose which was completely unrelated to the project he was working on–a pipe froze in my garage–I called Michael and not only did he arrange for a plumber to come to my house, he came as well. I would definitely recommend him to other’s needing construction or remodel services, and I will use his services again.

We used Michael Hodorowski for our patio remodel. We had an outdoor patio with fireplace that we wanted to convert to a new usable family room that looked like an original part of our home – and Michael succeeded. The remodel turned out fabulous and better than we expected. Even our neighbors have complimented the remodel.As far as Michael and his services – it was over the top. Michael was conscientious, punctual, talented and committed. We expected some type of “bump in the road” or delay to the project and it went off without a hitch.

If another project comes up, we will use Michael in a second.If you are on the fence about using Michael, jump off and use him – you won’t regret it.

Recently my wife and I contracted with Michael Hodorowski to remodel our aging bathroom. He was very thorough and meticulous in all phases through completion. He was also very flexible and came up with many money saving ideas, which we really appreciated. The subcontractors he employed were professional and the result was a beautiful new bathroom. We would highly recommend Michael to others and intend to contact him in the future for more work at our home.

In the past decade, Michael has organized and completed two major renovations of our Denver home. He was in charge of our projects, and I communicated with him daily. My husband and I are completely happy with the results of these two complicated renovations. We have much praise for Michael’s work.

Built in 1892, our house was a challenge to remodel. Our first major project was to build out the attic into a bedroom/bath/sitting area. The second project, which we started five years later, was to reconfigure and update the main floor. In both cases, the primary challenges were structural:–the 19th-century building materials were irregular and various
–the floor joists were severed or missing
–none of the angles were square; in fact, the first floor was sloped by several inches
–the roof wasn’t attached to the house
–there was fire damage, water damage, and poorly executed repairs
–there was 80 years of electrical wiring and century-old pipes

Michael and his crew stripped the house down to the essential structure, shored it up and secured it, and then re-built each space according to 21rst-century code. With every unexpected discovery, Michael helped us to make sound adjustments to our original designs; it wasn’t always possible to organize the spaces as we had planned.The third floor required extensive infrastructure not only to secure the roof, but to ensure that the space was well supported and well insulated. Michael and his crew built a staircase connecting the second and third floor, and also a full bath, five windows, and three skylights.The first-floor renovation required a completely new kitchen, a new 1/2 bath, built-in cabinetry, three windows, two sliding-glass doors, a deck, and a small extension off a back room. More important, it required the installation of a support beam to hold up the second floor and a new roof. The floors were warped farmhouse lumber and had to be replaced after much work on the substructure.

Throughout both lengthy projects, Micheal was helpful, reliable, knowledgeable, and patient. We were very pleased with his professional advice and capable skills and remain satisfied with both renovations. There have been no surprises since.

Michael has worked with me from 2006 through current date. He was the lead carpenter on many kitchen and bath restoration projects, as well as other remodels. Based on my experience with him, his qualities include great leadership, reliability and comprehension. His construction skills are great and quite varied. I have specifically worked with him in the areas of rough framing, finish carpentry, drywall, demolition, and reading specifications. I have never had any problems or complaints regarding Michael’s work quality or ethic and would gladly recommend him to others.
